The Mean Green Racing Team at the University of North Texas offers students a unique opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting. By participating in the team’s activities, students not only learn valuable team skills but also gain hands-on engineering experience. This experience is gained through designing, building and competing with a Formula style open-wheel racing car in a national competition against other university teams.

Gifts to this fund directly support the students in the UNT Chapter of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in designing, building and competing with an electric Formula style open-wheel car in the 2025 National Championship next June.
