The goal of this fund is to keep students in financial crisis enrolled and progressing toward their degrees. Student Wellness Fund - Helps College of Music students address unanticipated medical needs, thereby allowing them to stay in school rather than drop out. This is a crucial aspect of our student retention priorities. Better Together Fund - Provides a financial last-line-of-defense to keep Journalism students in school and ensure that they can continue achieving their educational goals. Alice Cruden Evenson and Herbena Nygard Fund - This fund aims to provide financial support when College of Health and Public Service students need assistance with unexpected, unforeseen and unavoidable emergency expenses that interrupt their ability to complete the semester or their degree. International Student Emergency Fund - Provides support for students facing a financial emergency due to natural disasters or economic hardships in their home countries. College of Music General Scholarships - Many of our prospective and current students compete for merit-based academic scholarships. By giving to the general scholarship fund, you can help students continue to thrive in our musically talented UNT family. CVAD Scholarships - Many of our prospective and current students compete for merit-based academic scholarships. By giving to the general scholarship fund, you can help students continue to thrive in our musically talented UNT family. HPS Scholarships - This scholarship fund supports UNT HPS students by allowing the college flexibility to support everything for student scholarships. The College of Information Alumni Society Endowed Scholarship - The COI Alumni Society Scholarship Endowment was established by graduates of the College of Information to support Masters and Doctoral level students. The College of Engineering Scholarship Fund - This scholarship fund supports UNT CENG students by allowing the college flexibility to support everything for student scholarships. Career Readiness Program - This initiative will help provide support for students by creating a stipend for unpaid internships. This will allow UNT students to gain the real-world experience they need without creating additional financial stress. First in Business Program - A program which will focus on first-generation students in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business, providing resources to assist in the development of high achievement and high professional aspirations. First-generation business students will receive support from freshman year through graduation. CVAD Student Project Award Fund - This fund helps supply students with materials, study abroad opportunities, research and internships, enriching the overall education of our promising CVAD students. College of Information Research Conference Award Endowment - Provides scholarships and/or awards for students. This endowment allows the opportunity for personal and professional development, keeps students engaged and helps the college continue to evolve. Portal to Texas History - An investment in The Portal to Texas History is an investment in the future of Texas. The portal provides free public access to a wealth of Texas history and culture and has been used by scholars for academic research as well as by K-16 students and educators and lifelong learners. Support the UNT Faculty Senate Endowment Fund! Support the UNT Faculty Senate! Dr. Bertina Hildreth Combes was the Vice Provost for Faculty Success and a Professor of Special Education who worked at UNT from 1989 to 2021. Dr. Combes enjoyed being an educator and helping students reach their fullest potential. She wanted to make sure everyone had the opportunity and resources to achieve not only their educational goals, but their life goals as well. She valued inclusion and diversity and sought to make everyone feel important. She was an understanding educator who shaped students' interests and encouraged them to turn possibilities into plans. The one thing Dr. Combes wanted most was for everyone to be their best self and to never give up on their dreams. Her favorite slogan was "Do Good," and her life was a testament to her belief. The purpose of the UNT Faculty Senate Endowed Fund is to provide unrestricted support for expenses related to the UNT Faculty Senate's developmental needs including, but not limited to, Faculty Lounge equipment, materials, and support for events, advertising and promotion, special projects, training, travel, lectures, banquets, award dinners or any related expenses deemed necessary by the Faculty Senate Chair (or its successor).
